Tom Cruise Failed To Become Adam Warlock, Here’s Why

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be the most emotional film in Phase 5 of the MCU. How come? The film is a farewell to James Gunn in the MCU. Gunn would switch sides to DC Studios, and become the DCU designer. As the last film, Gunn has confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 aka GOTG 3 will be emotional.

He even made sure that one of the Guardians members would be told dead. Because the film will not be released for long, James Gunn begins to provide a lot of information regarding the film. During an interview with Empire, James Gunn explained why he did not choose Tom Cruise to play Adam Warlock.

According to Gunn, he wanted a dramatic and comedic actor to play the Warlock character. In addition, Gunn also explained that Adam Warlock is a complicated figure.

“People online were saying, ‘Oh, Tom Cruise should be Adam Warlock…’ But I wanted someone younger, and I wanted someone who was both dramatic and comedic, not just for this film, but for the Adam Warlock project. in the future. He could be a very important character.” Says James Gunn.

James Gunn added, “It’s a bit more complicated than that… But he’s definitely not a good guy. What we just saw (in Guardians of the Galaxy 2) is the form of a baby Warlock, fresh out of the cocoon, and he doesn’t understand life very well. He’s basically still a baby.” Yep, Adam Warlock’s role in the film will be more complicated than just being a villain or a hero.

Through what was revealed by James Gunn, we now know that Adam Warlock who appears in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is an immature Warlock. And the question is, will Adam Warlock be told as a villain or a hero in the MCU?

Adam Warlock’s character is quite complex. He was once a hero, but he is also often a villain. Of course, this answer will only be answered when the film is released later.
