However, the audience still doesn’t understand whether Nacho’s presence will affect Massimo and Laura’s relationship. The Next 365 Days reviews whether Laura actually still has feelings for Nacho.
The Next 365 Days has aired through Netflix on August 19, 2022. For those of you who haven’t watched it, Popbela has summarized the ending of The Next 365 Days below. For those who don’t like spoilers, it’s time for you to stop reading this article. But if you are curious, please continue, yes.
Laura and Massimo’s relationship is ruined
Laura is said to have survived the shooting. However, the presence of Nacho in the previous film did affect the continuity of Laura and Massimo’s relationship. Laura did her best to move on, even telling Nacho to forget about her.
Laura and Massimo still had feelings for each other. They still often have sex. However, ever since they had a fight over Laura hiding the fact of the loss of the baby in the womb, the two of them drifted away from each other.
Laura meets Nacho again
Massimo and Laura each kept themselves busy with work. With Olga, Laura goes to Portugal to attend the Lagos fashion fair, and meets Nacho’s sister, Amelia.
Amelia advises Laura to listen to Nacho’s explanation, who insists that she is not a bad person, but “only loyal to her father”.
Nacho reunites with Laura. After telling Laura that he loves her, they return to having sex on the beach. Contrary to Massimo, Nacho is happy to let Laura make her own decisions in a relationship.
Nacho shared with Laura that she had saved Massimo’s life by killing Anna, because Laura loved him.
“I don’t want my happiness to cost you your pain. I want you to want me… I’ll wait for you, until you’re ready,” Nacho promised to give Laura time to decide what she really wants.
Laura visits her parents
Laura visits her parents, admits that she is in love with Nacho and doesn’t know what to do.
Her mother advised Laura that she should be selfish in a relationship, “If you put your own happiness first, you will do whatever it takes to make it last.”
Laura meets Massimo at the beach
Laura returns to Sicily when she is warned by Olga that Massimo knows about Laura and Nacho’s meeting in Portugal. Olga advises Laura to run away, but Laura insists that she is not afraid of her own husband.
Masimmo was waiting for Laura at the beach. He was sad that Laura didn’t share with herself about the loss of their baby, “When you have to deal with it alone, it destroys me.”
“When I was little, my father used to read me books. I still remember one sentence, there was a little parable. I didn’t really understand it then. But now I understand. ‘If you really like something, just let it go. come back, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t come back, then it’s not yours,” he recalled.
Laura told Massimo that he had an amazing father, and that Massimo would one day be an extraordinary father too. As they stared at each other longingly, Massimo asked: “Are you back, dear?”
