Once the calendar hits July, it’s officially summer and that usually means that so many new Netflix movies and shows are arriving to warm up the summer months.
Meanwhile the summer kick off on Netflix unofficially kicked off with the premiere of Stranger Things season 4 vol. 1 on 27 May and then on 22 June with the release of The Umbrella Academy season 3. But there’s a lot more to see in July 2022.
As summer heats up on Netflix, fans have plenty of new movies and shows to look forward to, including the highly anticipated premiere of The Gray Man and Persuasion, as well as the rest of Stranger Things season 4 and the new season of Virgin River.

Based on the book of the same name by Jennifer E. Smith, Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between comes from Everything Sucks! creator Ben York Jones and stars Talia Ryder and Jordan Fisher as Clare and Aidan. As the pair plan to break up before heading off to college, their goodbye might make the case for lasting love, and it all comes together on July 6.
Dangerous Liaisons

If you’re in the mood for some teen drama and romance, the French film Dangerous Liaisons will be the best title to add to your watch list on July 8. While at a new school, a teenager faces a popular and mean influencer and falls for a handsome surfer, but she soon learns the dangerous truth of their budding relationship.

Resident Evil
Release Date: July 14
Based on the video game series of the same name that launched a successful film series of the same name, Resident Evil arrives this summer as the first live-action series of the franchise. Netflix’s new series takes us to New Raccoon City in the year 2036 as Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) battles against blood-thirsty monsters. The eight-episode first season is one of the best new titles coming in July!
Virgin River season 4
Release Date: July 20
Finally, it’s time to return to Virgin River with the fourth season of the romantic drama series of the same name. The 12-episode new season drops us back in the midst of season 3’s cliffhangers, which included a paternity bombshell and left some characters’ fates in the balance. Don’t miss a minute of Virgin River season 4 and all its twisty turns on July 20.
